I don't know if this price of info comes handy to you guys or not but I believe it's worth sharing.

Today I went to local market in Patna to buy some winterwear.I went Lhasa market to buy that.There I met an uncle ji in his 60's.

He was a Tibetan and he was protesting peacefully for tibets respect and autonomy against Han Chinese commies.He was ousted and he has been living in Kolkata since 2002.

I talked about recent HH Dalai Lama comment about Tibet independence.

He said Dalai Lama is our religious leader and we respect him,b it living with the Chinese is equivalent to living with a snake.

India is our only and only ally.If needed we will fight and die for India.

Now tell me how do I upload 1+mb photo so that I can show it to you.

Can our police forces be trained at the same level as SWAT

Some of our Police units are really well trained.

Like for example Delhi SWAT trains with NSG.So does Mumbai Police and many more metropolitan police with the local NSG hubs.The bangalore police trains with Para regtt centre.

These units are very well trained and can be compared to the SWAT. (Not in terms of equipment)

But i was referring to the term Commando misused by many police units without any specialised training.

In my opinion i would only call the SOG of JKP,COBRA and some other units who counter maoists(little leniency) as Commandos.

In India we think that anyone wearing the black patka and covering his face is a commando doing Shifuji commando training.

A commando takes a lot more to make than this and your operations should speak volumes about your calibre.

People who want to become Indians are welcome but we should be careful about the ones dealing with our sensitive information.

A lot of them have settled in Arunanchal and Assam earlier and obviously in Himachal.

Given his background he holds some political weight weight but yes having an elite soldiers full of foreigners under a command of a foreigner seems suicidal to me.

Exactly!

Some people take this stance as to be against them.

No one is against anyone here.But lets be cautious with the best weapon we have against China.

I think SF and AF will save the day against china along with arty.

But even the current government hasn't laid down any policy to improve police force I wonder if would happen any time soon

At present ruling parties want police force to be their gulam. If cops get their rights and better training then ruling fellas cannot do chutiyapas here and there. Unless Presidential must and should orders given don't have hope on Indian cops.
We have dashboard cam installed in our car a year ago. That saved us a big police case last month. We had perfect evidence , which saved us. Traffic inspector was an idiot . He just took other party's view and filed charges against us. We kept quiet and presented video in court. Now I will have gopro on my helmet too.
This is current situation of law enforcement of India.
Remind me on Chit Chat thread. I will tell you what actually happened.

With the Dalai Lama having a change of heart with the realisation that Tibet cannot be snatched from China what does he think is the future of Tibet society in India?

Do all of them want to join India and contribute to the development of the nation or do they still wanna fight for their cause without Lama ji guidance.

Excellent info. 1 Archer (Cdo) insignia - khukri with para chute wings is wholly appropriate.

Today 1 Archer is the only Indian Army unit with a commando designation. For trivia sake NSG also wears Commando tabs though. Apart from that CRPF COBRA units sport commando tabs as well.

Just remembered, even 31 Rashtriya Rifles is frequently quoted as 31 RR (Cdo), though till date I cant recall one official place where it is called as such.

Speaking of which there is hardly anything known about 31RR. I can barely find any citations or news reports.

This is that Ninja unit of Cisf with grey uniform.

RR has 2 to 3 units which are affiliated to every Infantry regtt and then the soldiers from other arms are added.

31 RR belongs to Parachute regtt and has soldiers from Parachute regtt primarily and some from SF.

The interesting thing is the special troops in each RR unit are the local JAKLI guys who give the edge to intel ops.

31 RR is not a SF atleast by the nature of ops it does.It does a task which other RR units do.

This is really funny.

Judging from the looks somebody took early 2000s video games a bit more seriously than they should have. Outdated "chicken wing" posture and T-shirts, that too white.

Serious reforms are needed in the MHA & CAPFs. Since the unsaid, unacknowledged primary role of CAPFs is no longer relevant (a counter coup force), it is only prudent that CAPFs should be under a single command structure with better HR and financial management. Too many "Commando units" doing useless stuff. Same goes for the aviation and intelligence wings.

I think 12th para is under eastern command , the terrain look like either ladakh or sikkim ...or is it in NE ?
