n a great display of patriotism, a soldier of Rashtriya Rifles climbed a 50-meter high mobile tower in Tral in South Kashmir and removed Pakistani flag and placed the Indian flag.
The jawan named Sachin Kumar not only climbed the tower but also gave the ceremonial salute to the flag.

While doing so there was a grave threat to his life, but the rush of patriotism was so high that he could not stop himself and march forward to unfurl the flag.
The whole episode was captured in a video by Kumar’s colleagues through a drone.
Tral is the hometown of twenty two-year-old Burhan Muzaffar Wani, poster boy of Kashmir’s renewed indigenous militancy since 2010, who was killed by security forces on July 9. Following Wani’s killing, the Kashmir Valley was hit by massive protests, violence and deaths. The clashes with the police after the death of Burhan Wani has snowballed into a major crisis with almost daily clashes with the security forces in the streets of towns in Kashmir.
