On a navy to navy contest - sans IAF and IA. But yes, in a proper full spectrum conflict, their fleet wont even make it out of harbour.
You discounted the subs. The subs are the deadliest unseen threat. The Su-30s with their brahmos missiles and P-8 coverage will take care of the surface fleet but the Paki subs remains the biggest threat to IN and strategic assets on the west coast of India and they can fire the SM-39 Exocet which can take out an strategic asset.

The GoI really needs to increase its P-8 fleet and buy naval versions of AEW&C planes so that they can monitor the entire western seaboard for sea skimming missile attacks such as the Exocets.

The French Agostas are nonoperational. The new Chinese SSKs havent entered service yet.

And it is for the Subs that i said 2 P8Is.
They can hunt down the latest chinese SSBNs and SSks, the pakistani subs were all individually located post Pulwama ops.

And you can simply mine and blockade the harbour entrances to deny freedom of movement.

Can you provide any source that support what you wrote? or is that inside info?

Yes the chinese SSKs have not entered into service but they are slated to be inducted so IN needs to be prepared.

tell me you do not know about the order of battle without telling me you don't know about the order of battle
I am no expert in naval warfare but I have experienced the effect of being caught with our pants down across the Himalayas once under the erstwhile secular regime. For a population that has seen PLA well within our borders historically speaking, no amount of paranoia is less.

So you might have had some buffer, but we don't. Hence my concern here.

So I have been looking at what ships Navy has ordered already or currently building and how much tonnege will it add to navy.

Here is what I found
Submarine 2 more arihant class are building
7000*2 == 14000 tons.
3 S5 class SSBN == 13500*3== 40500tons.
6 SSN == 6000*6 == 36000 tons.
3 more scorpion== 1800*3== 5400 tons.

Ships.
Vishakhapatnam class 1 more buildings (3 already in service) == 7300 tons.
Nilgiri class 7 launched= 7*6670== 46690 tons.
Talwar class 4 building== 4*4035==16140 tons.
Asw-swc =16*900== 14400 tons .
Ngmv == 6*2200== 13200 tons.

Multi purpose vehicle under construction
2*3750== 7500 tons.

Ngopv== 11 * 2500== 27500 tons.

Fleet replenishment== 5*45000==225000 tons.

Survey vessel== 4*3300== 13200 tons

Nistar class driving support vessel ==
2*9350 == 18700 tons.

Apart from them small crafts and boats whose tonnege is under 500 tons. so not mentioned or counted.

This adds to 485530 tons currently on confirmed order or under construction already.

Next big orders could be
8 next gen Corvette @ 2800 ton each== 22400 tons.
6 p75i @ 2000 tons == 12000 tons .
Next carrier 50000 tons .
Lpd / lhd == 4*40000 == 160000 tons.
Etc. So almost 250000 tons in pipeline to be order in next 5 years by then next gen destroyer and follow on frigates will also be ordered.

All in all in next 15 years Navy will add atleast 800000 tons to its weight at the very least .

But since naval capex has started growing faster now navy might actually add much more than this .

Will keep updating it as new orders are confirmed.

I think that is the NGMV project which got clearance last year
What is this NGMV even used for. Is it like General Purpose Mini-Frigate/Corvette to free up higher-tonnage ships who are suited for more challenging roles or is it a parade piece in peacetime whose 8x Brahmos run out of themselves in wartime.
