Since these L&T guys don't dare to venture into Fab Business, atleast venture into AI/GPU design. Why go for some remote niche things? Isn't it an insult for L&T brand. An Indigenous GPU/AI Chips would reduce strings of Uncle Sam on India.

It's not meant for the likes of you . For other discerning folk , the corpus of 250 billion USD the RoK Government set up along with 7 billion USD they're offering as per the headlines should be eye opening.
Just like Gadkari some technology specialist minister has to take up the mantle and make a push for semiconductor bonds, that's the only way to raise fund for such capital-intensive task. But it has lots of risk involved because we will be playing in very low level nodes 28nm+ which by now might've become very low margin business, meanwhile CCP is also planning to flood chips made using domestic tech.

How is it relevant to india?
Bro trying to say we cannot compete with the big boys league in terms of delivering gibs.

I guess it's his counter to the randi rona over something like "REEE WHY TSMC NO BUILD FAB HERE, MODI BAD REE"

Expecting TSMC to come here is like thinking it is in the aukat of some 2rs poor chappri to date and fuck a supermodel.

Especially when money bag chads are strolling about.

At this point we should be targetting the various microcontroller manufacturers to setup shop here, or some of the low end pure-play fabs

‘Bad analysis by Mohit Pandey. ….. do not agree with him at all.

If non English speaking Chinese can learn electronics and semiconductor business then much better English speaking India can learn it in half the time. All India need is FDI and technology partner who will get India started initially. My additional suggestion is that India stay away from copy and reverse engineer like the Chinese but pay for technology and learn the proper way.

"Belousov, identified as a "competent, hard-head technocrat," was essentially brought in to audit the Russian defense ministry — which is riddled with corruption — and ensure that the country's tax dollars are actually going to the procurement of weapons and equipment that will allow Moscow to more successfully wage war in Ukraine"

Congrats Akim just like your military the Russians too are corrupt however not at your level.

Who told you that?
First of all: language is the issue in the public information collection because you need lots of people to read foreign scientific publication to follow others development, but it has never been a problem in the particular project as you can always send a group of translators who have both fluent English skill and specific field knowledge;

Secondly, the major Chip manufacturing technologies are in the hands of Taiwanese who happen to speak Mandrin not English, so base on your logic, the time of Indians should be longer.

Good luck with that.
