IMHO, I dont think LOH even needed, New design such as Dhruv out preform all others in all parameters then why we are still asking for old design ?

Its logical to use a Single design from multi- purpose ops to reduce logistics and ease training for pilots..

----------------------------
----------------------------

The LUH tender and even LOH is waste of time and resources..
hal must be thinking of helicopter like little bird

may be that's why they are developing LOH/LUH.

Will the Army Aviation wing induct flying battle tanks??

Air craft like A-10

Or Su-25

this will be handy in Close air support & kargil type operation

Can the HJT-39 Concept have this Flying battle tank capability

referring to there role in Soviet Afghan or Iraq Iran war...

All 4th generation fighters are vunerable to ground fire , did we stopped using those??

Each airforce will have its own stategy to overcome the blanket of air defence

A-10A with fighter cover from F-15 & F-16 have raised hell in middle east :thumb:

Su-25 bombed the hell out of afghani rebels in 80's

These aifcrafts are perfectly suited for COIN operation , Jungle warfare , close air support & Kargil kind of operation:thumb: with fighter cover from Air superority fighters with ECM equipment:sad:

Are there plans to equip army aviation with armed Pilatus P-7 for use against insurgents/maoists? These type of aircraft incl. Aermacchi have been used by other nations quite successfully.

Pilatus Pc-7 BTT shall not be armed, due to the contract obligations with Pilatus.

Indian Army or Indian Forces do not use Air-power against its own population ..

Even then the losses are quite high and we are talking about wars where highly mordernised weapons were mainly used by only one side... still they ended up with huge loses....
We are in todays world no longer settling for 4th gen .... thats where I thick MRCA will fit....

Common buddy then why we need gunship for Close air support we can add more rafales

MMRCA is just a dud if u ask me , we should use that money on AMCA or LCA follow-ups

It will cost 20 Billion now , and all 126 aircraft will not be inducted in 2 or 3 years time , it will take 10+ year for sure then there will sure 2-3 cost revisions since many avoinics will be outdated by then

We are just making french rich:facepalm:

yeah agreed on the last point.... with that cost no to MMRCA ..... LCA and AMCA would have taken off like a rocket even with half that money....
Add more helos instead and now we do have options Indian Origin...
just on that gunship point same role can be played by helos in a better form then gunship..... Just saying but same role same efficiency same effectivity more reliable and lesser cost ....
