IAF JOINS ORCA Project!!!
Ministry of Defence (MoD) has scrapped the RFI for the procurement of 114 Multi Role Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) for the IAF. Instead of importing foreign fighter jets, the IAF will back the ORCA/TEDBF project of ADA-HAL. The CCS sanction of 50,000cr has been granted today for this project. MoD in its statement said, This procurement will be a major boost to 'Make in India' as the aircraft will be indigenously designed, developed and manufactured with participation of several local vendors apart from HAL.

What's worse is not that this is April fool, but the fact that dephens fanboys think ORCA/LCA Mk2 will come in any realisitc timelienes that can meet IAF's ailing squadron requirement.

Instead of seeing the falling squadron as a national security problem & prioritising it as an emergency, people (including folks from PSUs & GoI) drunk on vanity thinks this is some muscle flex to take their own sweet time to develop a jet which was required 20 years ago.

That's a quite irritating way of playing April fool jokes.

IAF is confirmed to be interested in acquiring Greece's Mirage-2000-5s, although the level of discussion is very initial as of now.

He confirmed the country's interest in purchasing the Mirage 2000-5 that the Air Force has , however, as he pointed out, it is still a discussion at an early stage.
