It appears to me that there is a some sort of mutual understanding between India and Russia, no harm to Russian when we make rapprochement with US and take whatever advantage that we may take (especially against china), and reciprocally no harm to India when Russia make rapprochement with china and take whatever advantage that Russia may take (especially against US and EU).
