You're correct. None of the USN battleships had 18" guns, and the biggest ones were 16". Only the Yamato and Musashi of IJN did.

Museum ships will do. Houthis aren't exactly state of art and their drones will get swatted like flies by an Iowa class. But non-functional fire control director would be a showstopper.

All the five new members of BRICS have acceded to formally join the group now. I feel that the rogue drone attacks on cargo ships are being done by some non-state actor paid for by some US entity so as to turn opinion against the Mullahs.

There is a lot of chatter online regarding the accession of Iran and Saudi into the BRICS, with the former officially pushing for a digital blockchain-based BRICS currency as a means for intenrational trade. While a lot of it is Russian, Iranian and Chinese troll farms, there are several useful pieces of information and if you connect the dots, you can see why alleged attacks by Iranians is being highlighted so much in the media.
