Honestly, never understood what's the point of studying medicine in such a place. Like do they and their parents even do basic research before committing to such places? Gormint and MEA can only do so much.

Many Indian's used to go to these colleges during soviet times, since they were part of soviet union. I guess people still have name recognition for those colleges since then.

The idea is to be called a doctor, these are people who don't get into Indian colleges and won't be able to practice after they get their degree because they can't pass the exam required to practice here.

These are the students who have no chance in hell of clearing NEET and getting enrolled in a medical school in India. They go to places like Ukraine, kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus, Georgia, Bangladesh etc because there are no barriers to entry. I don't think they take licensing screening test once they return and just setup clinics illegally and start practicing. Its a shame if you think about it.

Post soviet countries have this medical colleges where you can pay dead cheap price to get admission. But most of them cannot clear the Screening in India. Either moves to western Countries like UK to become Doctor or try eternally to clear the Screening test.
