Restore nuclear potential is at least 150 billion dollars. It is better to use this money for the modernization of the conventional army. The Soviet Union seemed invincible colossus until 1991, but crumbled like a house of cards, all for the year.

Six Ukrainians charged in absentia over attacks on Russia’s embassy in Kiev

MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. Russia’s Investigative Committee has brought charges in absentia against six Ukrainian nationals over attacks on Russia’s embassy in Kiev in 2014 and 2016, IC spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko told TASS.

Among those charged with the June 2014 attack on the embassy are activist of the Svoboda group Vladimir Nazarenko, Vladimir Romantzov and former deputy of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Nikolai Rudkovsky, who hold far-right views. Nazarenko is also accused of insulting Russia’s flag. The damage to the embassy was estimated at 14 mln rubles ($238,000).

Charges have been also brought against Irma Krat and two former fighters of the Aidar battalion Sergey Novikov and Alexander Vysota for the attack on the embassy in March 2016.

Exposing Ukraine’s restrictions against the work of journalists, and attacks against anyone who speaks out against the putsch government, Stone said, “I don’t see any real democracy in Ukraine.”

Sputnik News notes that Oliver Stone called the current resurgence of hostilities in eastern Ukraine “disgusting,” saying that Kiev was obviously trying to get Trump to provide financial and other assistance.

The mainstream US media, he noted, has been nearly unanimous in blaming Russia for the fighting.

The director noted that the US establishment has stuck to the same false narrative about Russia ‘seizing’ Crimea, about Russian involvement in the Ukrainian civil war, its posing a ‘threat’ to Ukraine, etc. There are important facts left unsaid about the origins of the Ukrainian crisis, Stone said, including the ‘color revolutionary’ techniques employed in the lead-up to the Maidan coup, who provided the funding, and who the mysterious snipers were that fired on police and protesters alike at the height of the crisis.
