I think it is a slap in the face for India. Because GOI didn't take much precautions to stop illegal poaching by TN fisherman in SL water and now they have to face the big and better Chinese fishing vessels.
Rule 1 of confrontation: Never slap a guy who can unload a .44 magnum to your head. Just because you slapped him does not mean he will reciprocate in even manner. And trust the laws of physics, the .44 magnum stings a lot more than a slap.
It is funny to see stupidity of Indian posters here.
How a Chinese vessel engage in illegal fishing in "Kerala waters" ? India has right to arrest or take any action if any vessel under which ever flag engage in illegal fishing in their waters! If Sri Lanka has allowed to use our flag it must be with in our waters, why Indian members cry for that?
Rule 2 of confrontation: Lightweights (in this case, feather weights) should never enter into the middle of a fist-fight between two heavyweights. Whatever the outcome of the two giants, the lightweight will be the first to be knocked out, all teeth clean.
Nobody is stupid to believe that the Chinese are there only for fishing. Not even your President. But its fair enough. You have chosen to side with the Chinese against us. Its your soverign right and I respect that.
But do remember that India too has her strategic interests, her compulsions. And you'd do well to remember what she done to protect them in the past, irrespective of international treaty or pressure or coercion.
We cut up USA's favourite pet in two. Did international conventions or territorial soverignty matter to us then? Did US backing matter to us then?
We flew right over your airspace, dropping humanitarian supplies, Did your territorial soverignty matter to us then? Could anyone do anything about it then?
We threatened, right to your face, about invading you. What could you do?
We broke all maritime treaties and conventions and boared a hijacked ship off the coast of Indonesia. Did the laws make any difference to us then? Did anyone raise their voice against us then?
We kidnapped terrorists from Nepal, Bangladesh & Srilanka, bringing them to India. Did any rules matter?
Just believing a deal with the 'Mighty China' and the umbrella of international treaties will keep you secure your nation from India is laughable notion, at best.
In this game of Diplomatic chess between India and China, you are a pawn. A gullible, easy sacrificial pawn.
And about this stupid Indian stuff, I've heard some of it from your fellow geniuses. India is this, India is that. Indians are stupid, Indians are morons. Well its another mater they continue getting backlogs in our dirty, stinking, pitiful institutions
So, my advice, go to the nearest tower and abuse us to your heart's content. Because thats all you will ever be capable of doing to us. And btw, even Pak and Bangladesh are abusing us. So get in line. Too many haters. Sheesh.
