an export variant of the hq-9 the fd-2000 the same missile that was offered to turkey. turkey might drop the deal because china refused to provide tot to turkey.

Not TOT, that deal is in the docks because it would put Turkey outside of an NATO antimissile shield.The Americans do not want any Chinese involvement in their network.

nato was not happy with turkey with choosing a Chinese system. because it could not be implemented into the nato air defence system. and turkey chose the fd-2000 on price as well as capability. china refused to provide tot with the deal. turkey is now er evaluating its other options

Hopefully we'll see pics of it being launched off the catapult installations at the PLAN's EMALS test site soon...

What looks like a long rang e ASW missile being launched out of the standard YJ-83/C-80X type container.

This would be a perfect fit for the Type 056 ASW version. Maybe even the Type 054A if this missile is significantly superior to its VLs launched ASROC

A minute after take-off during a training flight PLA Navy Air Corps Regular Regiment Vice Captain Weiwei' s J15 number 104 hit a flock of birds, one of which was ingested into the left intake and severely damaged an engine.

Vice Captain Yuan Weiwei successfuly carried out an emergency landing with one engine on fire whilst carrying dummy ordinance (two KD88 Air-to-surface missiles and 2 PL8 within-visual-range air-to-air missiles).

The incident took place during preparations for the celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the PLA.
