If Indonesia could be deterred by US sanctions on countries' importing Russian defence equipment the same Indonesia can be leant on to not choose Chinese airliners that's assuming the Chinese airliners truly match western airliners in all parameters which @MiG-29SMT has been pointing out is not the case.
