IF WE Collab with outsiders, then the advantage will only be gleaned if the knowledge is absorbed and leveraged for further Local R&D from our side, otherwise if it is not exploited further, then it is a CON.
That's a given. However, we cannot blame the Swedes/Germans for squandering the advantage (forgotten Bofors blueprints or no follow-on to Shishumar-class local production) earlier. Today the onus is on us to first strike the best possible deal with any one of the world's leading engine majors (GE/Safran/RR) for our fighter propulsion requirements, then to create a whole family of jet engines for various applications and be self-sufficient in this domain.

The Tejas story was similar until it turned the corner. There's hope! We only have to have mega giga tonnes of patience. That's all!
The key to survive Indian defence forums is learn to take small wins as and when they come.
Those who wish for all things to happen at once are bound to be disappointed in the end. Many turn cynical. 😂

Don't let these Americ*nts get this contract, this will be a grave mistake. Let HAL do the manufacturing if no Indian private player is willing to do this job rather than these cunning military industrial complex guys, even if it takes a century.
Boeing can be a very good partner. Right now they are almost out of the USAF scene as far as fighter jets are concerned. We can learn a lot from them.

They will never give up the IP rights so unless they expressly agree that all IP and manufacturing rights stay with India and GoI, this is a non starter.

Sir, I agree they are out of the USAF scene, but they are still part of the "Deep State System" and will never compromise with their manufacturing technology which they have developed over a span of 50-60 years.
