Engine,
Image Sensor,
Advanced Semiconductor

Sir, one correction. It is not help. Its a business transaction. We will be paying them $$$ for their co-operation.
They will not do it for free of cost nor we want it in free of cost.
Thank you for the info ma'am. But why P&W, I thought GE was the engine major we should have been talking to for their F-414 engine (& much later perhaps XA100 for adaptive engine). Does P&W have any engine that can be a good fit inside Mk2/AMCA/TEDBF?

Am aware that P&W have trounced GE for every major fighter aircraft engine from F-22 to F-35 to even the next gen contract for rotating detonation engine.

So here is my opinion.

First prototype of AMCA is well destined take flight in 2023 to 2024.
Metal cutting has already begun.
Stealth Paint is ready.
Canopy is also ready.
Internal Weapon way fabrication is also ready.

My sources are various newsletter from Researchers Institutes, some were also posted here.

US Senate moving amendment to direct US Pentagon to boost cooperation with India on 5th gen fighters, ISR, cyber warfare and 5G comms etc.

What could this 5th gen fighter cooperation be about? Am sure it is not unsolicited given the high tech it involves and the push would have come from India.

Also this-

Aircraft engine maker Pratt & Whitney will set up an engineering centre in Bangalore. To commence operations in January 2023.
First in Asia.

US appears to have pulled out all stops to "help" us. What's the catch?
Bringing F-35 Assembly chain in India ?
Or Just collaboration for a new engine for the AMCA ?

This definitely has came from LM repository..
Probably a reject / prototype , which was later on upscaled and modified to have internal weapons bay.
Lockheed martin provides design consultancy for kf21 . And provides component such as brake pads , flight control system , LRU , landing gear , avionics , canopy , radar , engine , oxygen generator , ejection seat ,

West Backed KAI KF-21 is impressive but don’t ridicule Tejas MkII and AMCA program – Indian Defence Research Wing (idrw.org)

Do you know what's not ready? The jet engine.Dont believe any timeline for first flight when the contract for what makes it fly hasnt even been signed.
The talks for acquiring a jet engine have recently begun.

We could always strap Two Tejas engines to make it work.

A lot of our Civilian and military aircraft use P&W engines. We also use lot of turbofan engine from P&W.

P&W have F100 that can be the closet match but we have settled with F404/F414.

Don't think they have offered F-35 to India officially. Why would they enter F-21, F-15EX, F-18 in Indian fighter contests when they could have instead offered F-35 variants?

Atleast this was the position till last year.. & we did not abort the S400 plan..

Indian Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat on Thursday scotched a longstanding rumour about India’s possible acquisition of American F-35 fighter jets, as he told a foreign policy conference that Washington had never offered New Delhi the multirole combat aircraft.

New India related amendment moved by US Senate's powerful Armed Services committee, is reportedly the first step for offering F-35 5th gen fighters to India in the near future.

CAATSA gone & F-35 in? Now S-400 is no longer a problem? Is this for the MRFA requirement (near future)?

One good thing about US MIC is the speed with which complete the deliveries.
If F 35 or any other fighter is agreed upon by both countries and a contract is signed, I believe they can deliver all aircrafts within 3-4 years.
That's something which is very much important for IAF due to their depleted fleet strength.

Lol we ain't buying shit...

Good for us... We are hardly able to afford Rafale and operate it... F-35 lifetime cost is much higher.

Even Japan is moving with UK for an affordable bird.

They were offered F-22 airframe with F-35 avionics still they refused . American jet means having no control and money being wasted.

First step to sabotage AMCA, lets hope IAF, GoI don't fall for it.
Better to consider rafale, snecma. Rafale can't replace both mwf[low cost] & amca[high tech]
