BAT Stands for border action team, usually comprises of Terrorists and paki SF, elements from the units posted at the LC.Local elements can also be included. These BAT action are aimed at keeping the LC active and damaging the morale of opposing troops.

3 Soldiers Martyred; Body Of 1 Jawan Found Mutilated

The Army today stated that 3 soldiers have been martyred in Pakistan firing at Line of Control (LoC) in Machhal in Jammu & Kashmir, and body of one jawan was found mutilated.

Indian Army has warned Pakistan of heavy retribution for this cowardly act.

This is second such incident within a month. Sources in the Northern Command tell that the counter infiltration party of the India Army was attacked, that the incident took place early afternoon.

Sources also say that Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has been briefed about the barbaric act. It is also said there has been heavy firing and shelling in the area along the LoC by Pakistani troops after the incident took place.

Pakistani terrorists with help from the Pakistani army crossed the Line of Control at Machil, Kupwara district, on October 28 and mutilated Sepoy Mandeep Singh’s body.

What we need is heads of the COs- Young Captains, Lt Cols, Majors etc- If possible their Brigade commanders- And relentless artillery pounding of everything within 30-40km from the LC- Capture some territory- take the war to PoK-
