In 1989, Soviet Union landed a heavy weight Sukhoi 27 S on their Kuznetsov, sister ship of Liaoning, at that time, PLAN did not know how long ahead the road is, but they are not scared off, they initiated its R&D in Electromagnetic compatibility for big surface combatant ship. by doing so, they have gotten their chief-designer, vice-chief-designers and a lot young researchers and young scientists to work on the future ACs for China.
