    Re: Army gets control over attack helicopters A good move. Hope the same decision is made for the medium and maybe even heavy lift helicopters. Integration is all fine, but the decision making seems to be slower. I suppose there was no integration of the forces during the time.

    IAF is not entirely opposed to the idea per se. They put the ball in the Army's court by saying Govt policies are to blame and they need to change it.

    The ego war is there. The Americans had it worse. The Army managed only Apaches after their turf war of words, the A-10 was denied to them. It probably ran for 20 years in the 60s and even today they have these budget battles. The Marines got off easy.

The jets will interfere with the IAF's air traffic and will create confusion among the higher ups. CAP fighters have to be called in by the IA from the IAF. I doubt the IAF will be willing...
