GE 414 EPE. GE 414 power is also not enough.

CANARD or lavcon increases the lift. I don't know why it is excluded from NAVY Tejas Mk2 design.

Payload may further reduce due to carrier operation due to short runway. Even if it carries 4.0 tons, It should be good enough. That is equal to payload of Mig 29.

We listen 0.5m increase in length all these years except when the new specifications came out. They kept saying 0.5m increase in length and reduced weight of 6150 kg for tejas mk2 all the time. So far as curve duct is concern, they are in front part of engine and heat does not come out from...

I have always advocated making Naval LCA first and derive Airforce version out of it. Naval fighters always need much more domestication. We have lost lots of time in mismanagement and in confusion of what to do. For years, we designed Tajas w Mk2 with 0.5m long fuselage. Now they are talking...

Look at the intake. It seems that an effort is been made to hide the engine blades.

It is a part of aerodynamic improvement. This was studied earlier but it has not yet been done in MK1. You will see this by year endin mk1 as one of the scientist told that they will start working on MK1 aerodynamic improvement from 2017.

yes they rejected it and wisely so.

May be LSA. It will be the best plane for carrier.

The real deal shall be Tejas Mk2 Navy. It will be an ultra long range low drag 116 KN engine jet with all goodies. Working of landing gear weight reduction should make LCA Navy viable for navy. Bring the weight down to 6.2 ton and it will be a hit.

No it was 10+ climb rate and 21* AOA.

Mainly because of hevy landing gears. It is proposed to be bought down to Airforce level which is 600 KG.

    Naval LCA Tejas

It has been 7 years since this paper was published. Still there is no LAVCON, no Cock pit elevation, no Nosecone plug. There are only studies and no improvement. One more paper has come in claiming 8% Aerodynamic improvement and 20% rise in transsonic acceleration etc. I do not know when will...

    Naval LCA Tejas

Can any of you tell me how does naval LCA compares to Airforce tejas so far as aerodynamics is concern? Why did it struck a very high lift ratio over 10 against anticipated 5 ? What is the impact of wing root lavcon? Is there any wight reduction in landing gear compared to MK1? People says that...

    Naval LCA Tejas

I had read that NAVAL LCA flies better than airforce tejas. Does anybody has any idea about it? We observe a phenomenal climb rate in ski jump at goa? Does it have a better aerodynamics than Airforce tejas? What roll does wing root lavcon play in its performance? @ersakthivel

    Naval LCA Tejas

Landing gear was too heavy in MK1 navy. There was a plan to reduce the weight. Is that done to some extent in MK2? A question to all.

This can not be the truth because we have seen a lots of enlargement of air inlet starting from earlier PV to LSP 8. Leading scientist have on record said that Air intake redesigns will not be required for GE 414. inlate enlargement do not come at a cost of wing lift surface reduction.
