The Chinese are worried and they insists the Dalai Lama must reincarnate on the Chinese terms. Odd. I thought they did not believe in reincarnation. However, I will concede that they are sharp cookies who can have double standards to suit their political convenience.

It is most amusing that Zhu Weiqun, a Communist Party official stated that the Dalai Lama had, essentially, no say over whether he was reincarnated. That was ultimately for the Chinese government to decide. Imagine folks who spurn religion is to decide! More so, when President Xi Jinping has declared his fealty to Marxist-Leninist dialectical materialism. What could be more crazy and stupid than that?

The Chinese Govt is in a bind and its flapping like a netted bird. No Tibetan would ever believe that the Chinese Communist can reincarnate any leader of the Tibetans.

This statement is designed to exploit the divide in Tibetan Buddhism between sects that support the Dalai Lama and sects that don't.

No, they are not worried and they are excited that Dalai Lama is going to die, which give them the golden opportunity to have Dalai Lama on their side.

    They call it pragmatic.

Well, Dalai Lama did when he sold his country and people to Qing in 17 centuries.

No he did not declared his fealty to Marxist-Leninist. Instead, he re-confirmed that he will follow Deng's policy: leaving Marxist-Leninist in the bin.

No, Tibetan will do believe since this is not the first time that Chinese government reincarnate their leaders.

    Your interpretation.

The Chinese believe in reincarnation. Mao shall rise again, right?
