‘World should investigate Kashmir rights abuses’ NEW YORK: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says an international inquiry should be conducted to investigate the recent killings of Kashmiris by Indian security forces, DawnNews reported. Talking to the media in New York, he said the dialogue process between India and Pakistan should re-start and Pakistan welcomes the confidence building measures taken by Indian authorities. However, he said they were not a substitute for settlement of the Kashmir dispute. Qureshi said Kashmiris have been subjected to prolonged economic blockade and their lives and properties have been attacked. He said the recent incidents in Kashmir are a reflection of an indigenous struggle of the Kashmiri people for independence.
