You can make your setup 'geekier'

1. Make sure you PC and console are on the same network (wired or wireless)
2. Run a DLNA compliant media server on your PC
3. Your PS3 can act as a client and will be able to read all videos/audio on your computer
4. Download cool 720p stuff on your comp and auto-stream it wirelessly to your PS3 (coupled with large screen TV)

edit: :hmm: you mentioned a media server in your first post

Already running a media server, ps3-pc now though I am facing cinavia issues

So this will not be my primary movie watching server.

Planning to do something about wdtv live media server, waiting for the wifi dongle.

What are your tv and ipod models ? Use twonky media server to Wirelessly connect if you have a dlna compliant TV. If not then order the cables from ebay or flipkart.

Everything I do is geeky, every day is a new adventure, new experience and a bigger "Mess". With added distinction of being "unattractive" I feel closer to the "Nerds".
