Kuwait interior ministry’s decision allow all Kuwaiti embassies and consulates to issue all types of visit visas will not apply on six nations that have been barred from entering the country.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Kuwait’s interior ministry had said that the embassies and consulates were given full authority to issue the visas based on procedures stipulated by the law and its regulations.

The interior minister, Shaikh Muhammad Al Khalid, had issued instructions to the Citizenship, Travel Documents and Immigration departments “to work in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the hotels sector which can also engage in the process of issuing all kinds of visas to Kuwait — commercial, tourist or family.”

However, a local daily Al Rai was told by the security sources that the new rules do not apply to nationals from Pakistan, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Afghanistan who have been barred from entering Kuwait.

The ban, which was imposed in 2011, on nationals of these six countries was attributed to the “difficult security conditions in the six countries” and to “the remarkably increasing tendency of Kuwait-based nationals from these countries to apply for visas to bring into Kuwait relatives who faced or could face serious challenges in their home countries.” According to the sources, the decision to allow embassies to issue visas will now be followed by a series of meetings to agree on specific measures for the process and to ensure that applicants wanted in terrorism-related cases or suspected of plotting to undermine the country’s security and stability are not given the visa.
Kuwait is home to around 2.2 million expatriates, making up two thirds of the total population.

There is no ban for Pakistanis, the visa is issued from Kuwait directly after propper screening.

Yes it's true, non-stop flights are not allowed for any airline between USA amd Pakistan .
When PIA purchased 8 Boeing B777-200LR/-300ER in 2005 we requested slots for non-stop flights from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to JFK, IAD, ORD, HOU and LAX. We installed electronic passposrt readers and other devices required by FAA.
Americans visited and inspected the infrastructure but due to political sensitivity it was decided not to allow US personell at the check in or the gate which is one of the conditions set by FAA.

PIA now operates flights to USA via LON and BCN.

No idea about that, but the authorities in the UK keep a sharp eye on all flights from pakistan, examples why -

A FLIGHT attendant has been jailed for five years after he tried to smuggle £600,000 worth of heroin into the UK through Leeds Bradford airport.
Syed Shah, 31, had 2kg of the drug hidden in his cabin bag and flight case when officers searched them shortly after he got off a Pakistan International Airlines flight.

Travelling from Lahore to Manchester on PK 709, she was arrested when Greater Manchester police and UK Border Agency stopped the crew for routine search on Friday afternoon. She could have simply succeeded to smuggle the heroin were it not for the sniffer dogs who alerted the police to her shoulder bag in which she carried the laptop containing nearly half a kilogram of heroin.

But why non-stop is not allowed.

That along with abbottabad and drones and aq khan and border skirmishes and discarding paki military (due to incompetence) and favoring zardari does Pakis realize how much discredit, dishonor, and disrepute the USA has caused to Pakis reputation and application of international laws and national sovereignty.

Yet it is one of the most important relationship for Pakis. For the sake of it one can say the Americans fear the Pakis!!

Is it the wild wild west.

The Kuwaits are responding to what is the reputation of Pakis.

The reason why the non-stop flights are not allowed has much more significance.

What you state was happening even before the ban.

pls also tell that in london, all passengers and baggage's are taken off the plane and re-check again for the same aircraft:wave::wave:

and PIA never purchased 777-200LR, its on dry lease 2nd hand old emirates plane from emirates .i highly doubt PIA paid the lease money:p:p

I agree with most of what you said and I wish we could treat the americans like Iranians do, ie taking finger prints and all.

America takes finger prints off all passengers now, even from EU passports. My Dutch biometric passport is machine readable and has my iris scan and finger prints registered.

The reason we didn't want US immigration staff present at the airport is because it's an open public place and the officer at the gate can order a "selectee" check which includes full body search inccluding cavity). Just imagine the sentiment of the passengers travelling on PIA and being frisked by an. US officer!! it won't be tollerated.

You viewpoint is like a "Defense" on a Defense Forum. The ban on the non-stop flights was well before the immigration requirements by USA in Paki airports and they continue to be the last time one check. The reason they were there for even one-minute (among the other things mention earlier -abbottabad and drones and aq khan and border skirmishes and discarding paki military and action by America) is disgraceful and it wont matter if tomorrow the ban is removed. The meaning and significance would last a life-time for the nation of Pakistan.

Further like you mention that America takes finger prints off all passengers even EU passports. Do Americans have personnel in Netherlands when you personally travel outside. The computers are network-centric and the only Americans sitting would be in America monitoring.

What happened in Pakistan was the Americans wanted a log and database on who was travelling in and out of Pakistan and this would have meant access to all passengers everywhere even to PRC and North Korea and Saudi Arabia. The Pakistan government knew that would be too sensitive since that is national security and they do not want even the Americans to know the AQ Khan and Mullah Omar - OBL type business they conduct.

This had absolutely nothing to do with the non-stop flight ban. It would have continue and there was no pre-condition that if Americans were allowed access to airport that the non-stop ban would be lifted. That is disrespecting the intelligence and knowledge of the Americans.

If you want to treat the Americans worse don't do it like that by spiting their intelligence. I would have said the same for the Paki public but they have been told too much nonsense that it is unfortunate that it is now the norm that they are treated by their own government to have little intelligence.

The below is another example where Pakis are spiting the intelligence of the Americans and also treating the Paki public with having little intelligence:

Pakistan Taliban extend ceasefire for 10 days after prisoner release

    http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...ter-prisoner-release/articleshow/33228873.cms

(Pakis sitting across the table with other Pakis talking chai and biscuit - what a planned drama and they have released criminals for good measure).
