Indian Navy submarines and surface ships both built recently and under construction are very modern and upto date. These have been built with outside technical assistance hence their capability to perform is very high. The same is not true about Chinese ships built many years back on copied and stolen technology. They have larger numbers for intimidation purposes but they can not last in a battle, long. Not only that Chinese naval capability to go beyond their shores is very doubtful. It is well known that they are afraid of the deep sea, hence staying in the neighbourhood is their better form of intimidation.

Can a armada of Chinese ships come four thousands kilometres from south and North China sea bases to Indian Ocean (Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal) and give battle to a highly trained Indian navy which has practiced with US, British, French and Russian Navy and survive the American supplied P-8i planes flying from land bases and Indian built Brahmos and other missiles, it is doubtful. Only Presstitutes, who write funny stories will believe that.

Chinese value their prestige a lot. A single defeat either at Sea or in the Himalayas will kill that prestige, hence they will not openly confront India Navy. That job in my opinion, they will outsource to Pakistan. The latter is at a preliminary stages of building a Navy of any kind.

In an assumed confrontation, Chinese navy will be first to vacate Gawadar port if they are present there. They could not risk a confrontation of the type which happened early in the war of 1971 in Karachi. This port was left burning and bunch of ships sunk, right at the mouth of the harbour.

China is bluffing. It is not conditional i.e if India makes more long-range ICBM's. They will help Pakistan regardless.

Their state media which is so hung on Han supremacy and also racist keeps depicting Pakistan as a friend. The article was meant for their Pakistani audience, not for sane people.

The arms race will hurt Pakistan economically and benefit China. Pakistan feels it is worth developing deterrence to allow itself to launch conventional and sub-conventional attacks against India. This article only reinforces Pakistani dream of having nuclear triad.
