My former employer outsources its back-office functions and IT service to Bangalore or Bombay (can't recall). When we dialed a Beijing number ((+010) for IT support actually we got connected to Indian engineers on the other side.

Lots of such service trade is going on unnoticed unlike tangible products in imp/exp.

Besides this city imports lots of iron ore from India. And a few boutiques featuring Indian and Nepalese articrafts and jewelries. Every time when I bypass my alma mater I see a few Indian students (but mostly girls) in their traditional costumes outside the campus.

By the way Infosys or Wipro are not only known in Beijing or Shanghai.
