Four months after being appointed Chairman of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) R.K. Tyagi has officially taken over from Ashok Nayak who retired last October.
Formerly Tyagi was Chairman and Managing Director of Pawan Hans Helicopter Ltd and also Vice President of the Aeronautical Society of India.
Tyagi was recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board to succeed Nayak due to the lack of eligible candidates within the company.
