What exactly cant be done? the part you dont get lost, or the part that you keep in mind that Chinese are living a longer life?

Either way, people are dying younger in a democratic India.

Death is a natural phenomenon.

Does it make it any great an achievement to live longer?

If living longer is another issue to showcase, so be it. My congratulations to you.

Given the one child policy, China will have more who are aged than those who are productive!

Also, respiratory cause of death in China may be decreasing by eliminating cooking indoors with charcoal.
And they will live longer because they are seriously trying to solve the air pollution that causes many ailment, including that of the lung!

Indeed, politicizing climate issue wont solve the global warming, but makes it more complicate.

the global warming is a historic legacy of western development in the past decades, they are obligated to offer finance and technology for the reduction of carbon emission.

Before blaming western countries for pollution, first tell us what China is doing to control pollution... Very good diversionary tactics indeed... blame it all on western countries... or you can not even critisize your government...

Let me give u a few clues on how China battles pollution & reduces carbon footprints

1) Solar power in China - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia tells u how China is progressing in "green energy"

New solar hot water installations during 2007, worldwide.

2) Nuclear power in China - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia & Solar, wind power gain over nuclear power in China, says German official | South China Morning Post

3) Completion of Myanmar pipeline to diversify China energy supply - The Hindu in addition to gas/oil pipelines to Kazakstan & Russia contribute to alleviating China's Coal Conundrum - Forbes

Already the world's largest investor in renewable energy, China has set the goal of obtaining 15% of its power from nuclear power and renewables by 2020. Since taking office in March, President Xi Jinping has made shifting to a less resource-intensive economy and reducing the country's catastrophic air pollution major priorities. In many respects China has leaped ahead of both the United States and the European Union in its efforts to shift away from fossil fuels.

China is doing much against pollution, but it appears that it is a difficult issue to balance - industrialisation vs pollution.

Money and Economy which is the greatest raison d'etre for Chinese supremacy cannot be abandoned!

We got every reason to blame western countries:
they are the ones first started pollution;
they are the ones polluting this planet for the longest period;
they are the ones as a group still producing most of pollution;
they are the ones who owns those companies producing a relatively big part of pollution in China.

And yes, we can critisize our government and we are doing it everyday. But on this problem, we happened to agree with our government.

Well criticizing the western countries is not the topic of the thread... you can do that by opening a new one...
