Woman beheaded by crazed neighbor, head lands on car seat
A middle-aged woman was beheaded Wednesday morning by a deranged neighbor who threw her head out of a fifth-floor window in Chongqing Municipality, local media reported.
A male suspect, 30, was detained by police for investigation.
The victim surnamed Wu, living in the city's Fuling District, was engaged in a heated dispute with the suspect surnamed Ran, who attacked her with a knife in her apartment building, reports said.
Wu was beheaded and the severed head was tossed out of a window, smashing the window of a parked sedan and landing on the passenger seat, according to reports.
Police cordoned off the site and detained the suspect at the scene. The cause of the killing was under investigation.
Reports said that Ran had a history of mental disturbance and was out of control at the time of the attack.
