Slowly but steadily we are seeing the emergence of a new axis alliance consisting of Russians, Chinese and islamic countries. This in my opinion is very very bad for India and rest of the world. If u remember prior to WW2 when Japs , Italians and germans formed an axis alliance they claimed that it was a powerful economic block and nothing else. I am afraid the next war will be much more brutal than last one and we will be surely sucked into it. I have always believed that Modi should now take unconventional steps like calling for a military draft for example. 1.3million strong Indian army is no match for the coming axis alliance

Nothing is internal to Afghanistan. Terrorism is threatening everybody and GoA is obviously in a state of inability and incompetence to act on its own. Evidently their ace pilot is seeking asylum in US. Hence NATO and SCO have come into play.

The international community is helping Afghans to stablize. 2 out of 3 countries u ferociously labelled as "rogues" are UNSC permanent members who shoulder extra responsility for the world peace. India, not even directly bordering AFG, shall just back off from SCO membership if GoI is as bitter as u r.

Taliban and Afghanistan restart secret talks in Qatar
Please spare me this crap. GoA is very legitimate elected government that is being undermined by an illegitimate Pak army/ISI combine through its proxies. How in God's name is an unelected government in China to decide whether an elected Government like GoA is legitimate or not.

I honestly wish China gets involved in Afghanistan. There is little else that I want to see other than China getting bogged down in Afg the way USSR did. Maybe Pakistan getting bogged down in Afg. I don't know what's going on through Putins head but he certainly doesn't seem to be in full control of his senses. Any Russian or Chinese misadventure in Afg will be costly. This time around, the Americans are fully prepared both militarily and politically in Afg. Not to mention China has little or no expediationary capabilities. They are armed only with their over inflated egos. Chinese just can't seem to mind their own business.

Love of Pakistan is a fatal attraction. All aspiring superpowers fell in love with Pakistan to achieve their geo political objectives only to see the poisoned chalice behind it. America has already gone through it and is now bankrupt. China is going through this phase but will soon get a hangover by which time CPC will be finished as a political force.

Pakistan = taliban.

Isis grown up pet by pakis, turkey, taliban on orders of papa usa.

Turkey sides russia ditching usa in syria war.

Pak, china , russia, turkey, russia vs USA

Double players are turkey, pakis (little bitches) known for back stabbing.

So real game is between russia, china vs USA

If china plays double game Russia fcuked up royally.

If alliances are genuine to the core
China has to get ready to risk uprising tibet, south china sea, xingxang, blauchistan destabilisation ie pak will be badly hit with cia proxy war.

China gonna beg Indians for not giving access(through peninsula)satisfy us giving up arunachal claims and not support pakis in kashmir.

If china don't make friend with India.

Expect its 300% backstabbing plot of Russians en end of putin.

Russia to save themselves should have secret back channel talks with Indians lol.

I see good news in it , sketch for Pakis to break innumerable parts is on cards.

If porki turk russia china together has more proxy network ie jihadi elements. Its not a straight war.

Usa will resort to mercenary tactics.

So usa can stalemate them

But real problem is defeating them. Thats where both needs Indian help.

Surely usa will brag in European countries with nato. Which is world war. This has less chance. They will explore weakness in tibet, balouch card to tempt Indians.

End result will be on Indias will.

If its war straight then its end of this world.

I don't want USA to defeat them. Stalemate is what is ideal. That will make the axis bog down in Afghanistan. Keep throwing money, men and material towards Afghanistan. That's what will bleed them. Hopefully, that's the direction it's headed. And it won't be a WW since Pak, China and Russia themselves took this step trilateraly. No one opposed them directly. NATO will not step in as Long as the conflict is within Afghan borders. So it won't escalate. I hate to say this, but Russia is going down a path(again) where it will shoot itself in the foot. Americans won't do anything except stand back and watch. They really don't need to do anything else. CIA will of course provide funds and hardware but that's it.

Pakistan is yet again trying to be the pimp at the cost of ruining its neighbor Afghanistan.
'Trying to be the pimp'? Porkistan was, is, and will always remain a pimp! They have also prostituted themselves to their slave masters, China and now doing the same with Russia too.

Now key stakeholders will have a get-together.

Pakistan, China, Russia agree to expand talks on Afghanistan
BAQIR SAJJAD SYED — UPDATED DEC 28, 2016 07:57AM
ISLAMABAD: Russia, China and Pakistan on Tuesday agreed to expand their tripartite consultations on Afghan conflict and include other countries, including Afghanistan, after Kabul objected to its absence from the regional discussions.

“The parties agreed to proceed with consultations in an expanded format and would welcome the participation of Afghanistan,” a joint statement issued after a meeting of the senior officials of the three countries said.

It was the third round of talks between the three countries on “deteriorating situation in Afghanistan”, particularly the rise of the militant Islamic State (IS) group also known by its Arabic acronym Daesh.

And IRAN
Meanwhile, Russia is also supporting Iran’s entry into the relatively new process. Tehran has been Moscow’s ally in the fight against IS in Syria. In a separate troika formed last week, Russia, Iran and Turkey reaffirmed “their determination to jointly fight the IS”.

I think we should invite NATO to have a party in GOA.Also allow the Americans to setup a base in Arunachal Pradesh . Then maybe china and russia can meet in Islamabad and be more concerned Delhi than about Kabul.
Turkey in spite of the fact that they shot down their plane and killed their ambassador the Russians suck up to them simply because they have no other option. High time we should learn something from them.

Also it is important to understand all this stuff via its political angle.KGB funds the Gandhi pariwar and congress party who in turn reward them with big defense contracts in turn we get a lot of dud.

Now that Modi is at helm of affairs FSB is turning to the next puppet family the "Sharifs" of Porkisthan as it cannot simply sell its shitty weapons as it used to.When we buy weapons from any country we expect nothing but the best as we pay for them.It only makes sence that they dont sell the same weapons to our enemy's.
I however think deals with India far out way anything that Pak and China can offer to russia and it is only a matter of time that tings are back to normal.

Trilateral Talks Without US: New Trend in Russian Diplomacy

Commenting on the third round of tripartite meetings between Russia, China and Pakistan on the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, which were held in Moscow on Tuesday, Russian expert in Central Asia Azhdar Kurtov called it a new trend being set by Moscow to deal with the Afghan crisis.

Pakistan Foreign Secretary Russia, China and Pakistan warned on Tuesday that the influence of Islamic State (IS/ISIL/Daesh) was growing in Afghanistan and that the security situation there was deteriorating. The three countries met in Moscow.

The United States, which still has nearly 10,000 troops in Afghanistan more than 15 years after the Islamist Taliban were toppled by US-backed Afghan forces, was not invited to the Moscow talks. "The three countries expressed particular concern about the rising activity in the country of extremist groups including the Afghan branch of IS," ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters after the meeting.

Earlier in December, Russia, Turkey and Iran held trilateral talks in Moscow on the settlement of the Syrian crisis, also leaving the US uninvited. Commenting on the above meetings, Russian expert in Central Asia Azhdar Kurtov noted to Sputnik that Moscow seems to be forming its own trend in settling the Afghan and Syrian crises. The suggested initiatives might considerably alter the balance of power in the international arena, he suggested. However, he added that one should not rule out that the initiatives could have become the natural continuation of the ongoing changes in US foreign policy after the election of the 45th US president.

Donald Trump has openly condemned the policies of the Obama administration both in the Middle East and in Afghanistan. "Moscow could not help but make the use of the chance which has opened up to alter the current negotiating formats, and to try to drive the diplomatic talks from the dead-lock where they have been resting for quite a long time," he told Sputnik.

Kurtov also noted that regardless of all the demonstrated efforts to bring the Afghan authorities and the opposition to the negotiating table, the US has not reached any visible success. At the same time, Pakistan, China and Russia are largely interested in stabilizing the situation in the country due to the proximity of the country to their borders. The participation of Afghanistan, the expert noted, raises certain questions from Afghanistan, however next year it is going to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization where Russia and China are playing major roles.

Russian expert in Pakistan Petr Topychkanov suggested that the new trend in the settlement of Afghan crisis is purely the initiative of Moscow. Both China and Pakistan had previously been participating in a quadripartite format with participation of the US, but became disenchanted as the US has been influencing the position of Kabul. Hence, he suggested, the two countries opted to join Moscow.

Dushanbe Probing Claim Taliban Tanks Being Repaired In Tajikistan

Muhammad Omar Safi (left) claims that cooperation between the Afghan Taliban and the Russian military has been going on for nearly two years.

Tajik authorities are looking into claims by an Afghan official that Taliban tanks and other heavy weapons are being repaired by Russian engineers in Tajikistan.

Muhammadjon Ulughkhojaev, a spokesman for Tajikistan’s border guard agency, said on January 2 that the allegations are "baseless."

But he added he is unaware of all details of the allegations.

Ulughkhojaev said the border guard agency “has been looking into the claim,” will study the Afghan media reports, and will report on the results of their investigation.

The Afghan Defense Ministry's deputy spokesman, Mohammad Radmanish, was also skeptical of such reports.

Radmanish said on January 2 that he doesn't think it is possible "to transport heavy weaponry to the other side of the Amu-Darya River" that marks the border between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

"[The Taliban] usually drives small vehicles, such as pickup trucks with heavy weapons mounted on them, but they do not have heavy vehicles, such as tanks," he said.

Last month, a former governor of northern Afghanistan's Kunduz Province was quoted by Afghan media as saying that military vehicles and other weapons seized by Taliban militants from the Afghan Army were being sent to Tajikistan for repairs.

Muhammad Omar Safi reportedly alleged that the vehicles and weapons had been repaired by Russian military engineers based in Tajikistan before being returned to the Taliban.

Safi claimed that such cooperation between the Afghan Taliban and the Russian military has been going on for nearly two years.

Some 7,000 Russian troops are stationed in Tajikistan.

In recent months, Afghan officials have voiced concern over what they described as Russian aid to the Taliban.

In early December, Afghan lawmakers said they planned to investigate reports about alleged seizures of Russian-made weapons destined for the Taliban.

Russia denies providing aid to the Sunni extemist militant group.

India frowns at Russia-Pak meet on Kabul
Charu Sudan Kasturi
New Delhi, Jan. 4: India today criticised Russia's bid to partner Pakistan and China on ensuring security in Afghanistan, exposing growing cracks in a traditionally all-weather friendship now under strain despite attempts by both nations to project normality.

The criticism came in a week when Russia publicly said it wants to use an air base in Tajikistan that India renovated in 2007 and has since eyed, triggering concern in Delhi, senior officials said.

Russia had on December 27 also hosted a meeting in Moscow with Pakistan and China where the three countries together announced they would seek the lifting of UN Security Council sanctions against select Taliban commanders to bring the militant group to the talking table.

India has long opposed any segmentation within the Taliban, and views the group as backed and sponsored by Pakistan to allow Islamabad "strategic depth" through its control and influence in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan has also criticised the trilateral meeting in Moscow for not inviting Kabul's representative for the talks. India and Afghanistan have also demanded UN sanctions against the Taliban's new chief, Mawlawi Haibatullah Akhundzada.

"We do not believe that holding meetings on Afghanistan alone is going to solve problems of Afghanistan," junior foreign minister V.K. Singh said. "Any political solution in Afghanistan has to be Afghan-owned, Afghan-driven and Afghanistan controlled. Nothing else is going to work in Afghanistan. We believe that it is the Afghan government that needs to decide which parties it wants to engage with."

Singh's comments, in response to a question at a media briefing today, came after a little publicised announcement in Dushanbe this week by Russia's ambassador to Tajikistan Igor-Lyakin Frolov that Moscow is negotiating the lease of the Ayni air base.
India's redevelopment of the Ayni air base for $70 million was aimed at creating a strategic entry point into central Asia, and at allowing New Delhi to develop a military presence close to Afghanistan that could counter Pakistan, officials involved in the planning at the time said.

Russia had after that quietly blocked Indian attempts to lease the air base from Tajikistan, wary of allowing any other country strategic access to an area it considers a part of its sphere of influence.

Moscow has made clear in recent weeks that it views the growing footprint of the expansionist Islamic State in Afghanistan as a greater threat than the Taliban that has never tried to spread north.

India has tried to convince Russia that New Delhi remains a more reliable and safer partner for a Moscow interested in regaining its own strategic toehold in Afghanistan, three decades after it was bled by the mujahideen there.

But Russia's courting of Pakistan and its unilateral move to lease the Ayni air base suggest Moscow views Islamabad as a more critical ally than Delhi in Afghanistan - a choice that is worrying India.

"Eventually, it is about delivering results on the ground in Afghanistan," Singh said. "India's own developmental assistance (in Afghanistan) is well recognised."

The Ayni base was picked and redeveloped by India with the aim of creating a platform India could use also in the event of heightened tensions in Siachen. The Indian Air Force, New Delhi calculated, could use the base to attack Pakistani forces in Siachen from behind.

Officially, India continues to articulate confidence that Russia will not hurt Indian strategic interests. "Our relationship with Russia has stood the test of time and we are absolutely confident that it will stand the test of the future," M.J. Akbar, also a junior foreign minister, said.

"We do not believe Russia will do anything that is detrimental to our security interests or our national interests."But the Russian announcement that it intends to lease the Tajik air base is only the latest in a series of strategic moves Moscow has taken in the past few months that hurt New Delhi's interests.

In September, days after the Uri terror attack, which India blamed on Pakistan-based terrorists, Russia held joint counter-terrorism exercises with Pakistan, prompting New Delhi into rare public criticism of Moscow. Russia also backed Pakistan's role in Afghanistan at the Heart of Asia conference in Amritsar in December.
