Give a look at the clothes and Formations..
The clothing tells its Medieval India.

I have seen this image before, it depicts Maharana pratap's rajput army(in the medieval era) with krishna in the epic war.

What they wear is silk clothing over chainmail.

Actually tactically its make no difference between both era but places does..

Northern part is cold, Specially Kurushatra, Unlike in south less clothing helps in humid conditions..

Hindu clothing is very much same through out the history in theses places, even now...
Eg: Himachal Pradesh for colder places and Kerala for Humid and warm environment..

The colder clothing mainly consist of Cotton made, Silk is used for higher ranks..

The clothing that is shown on the picture shows a medieval style rather then ancient. That picture is Mahabharata with a medieval rajput theme to it, you get what I am trying to say?

Look at some of the ancient examples of the North. And compare.

Ancient Gandhara

Now for the medieval era.

Yes, that can be understandable..

But my point is simple, Di-spite the above pic shows Dhoti are used over colder environment, The battle was fought during winters, With these type of clothes its not practical while fighting in colder environment where temp goes around 10 or lower...

More like this, except pagri..
Full clothing..

A medieval ( ancient )version of the Mahabharata.
This is how you edited by post Kunal. The picture you posted is a medieval theme of the Mahabharata. This is what I am trying to say to you, and you edited my post and put ( ancient ) when its not. Telling by the clothing.

Gandhara, even when the cover, its still much different from the style of the medieval era, understand?

A Army needed to be fully equipped to fight over different terrains, In the case of Mahabarata the pictures are not same as their environment..

We are not talking about the cold. You edited and tryed to prove it wasnt medieval, but ancient, which it isnt.

Clothing like these are not common in ancient India.

Like in the picture YOU posted..

[/IMG]

Never do you see clothing like this in ancient India.

Other then the Kushan who original came from central Asia.

(Kushan clothing far left, ancient Indian style right)

Which was MUCH later then the epics.

Like in the picture YOU posted..
Clothers are of different kind are used over many thousands years over norther India, eg:

These clothing existed for thousands of years coz its practical in the colder environment..

Simply my argument is the picture you posted don't share any link with the surrounding environment, hence there is error not all but some, specially clothing..

Kunal, you are wasting your time with a kid of 15 years. Ignore him. And he really is 15, coz he doesn't know why Hindus celebrate Christmas. Channel your energy somewhere else.

Dude, these are Gandhara sculptures. I have titled that for some time know.

North enough for you???

Look at ancient Indian scultures from the north, they dont have clothing like you posted, maybe until the Kushans who are from central asia.

And Kushans that have been influenced by Indian culture wear clothing like this in the ancient era.

Chest, belly exposed. It wasnt to cold for them I guess.
