This is SAG right? Rangers are not SWAT like units.

NSG has two components .....SAG(Special Action Group) personnel , who are primarily from Army on deputation.....and SRG(Special Ranger Group), who are from paramilitary forces....

Yea but the rangers are a containment and perimeter unit. The SAG boys are the door kickers

Offlate some SRG units got converted to SAG.
Btw could police men join SRG ,apart from CAPF guys ?

Hope as hell it is and not one poxured by the operator by himself. Those vests with the zippers in the front have got to go

Those zippered ones were inducted not long ago,means they will be there for some time.
Who provides these vests? Why couldn't these designers just look into around the world for better designs.

Afaik srg are all home ministry personnel . Federal unit.

Those zippered ones were inducted not long ago,means they will be there for some time.
Who provides these vests? Why couldn't these designers just look into around the world for better designs.

Forget looking around. You have load bearing vests with a zipper down the front. These troops are running up and down some pretty rough terrain at altitude .

SG has SCAR Hs./ P90s / FN2000s. And I know a few para SFs also have them (scar) but not official kit. SG also has the M16A2 in their inventory and a few Colt commands (don't know if they use them anymore but left over from the 90s). I have heard (never confirmed) of at least 2 Steyr augs as trophies (hint hint)

I am very well aware of the distiction and duties between SAG and SRG due to some connections.....I actually misread the original poster's question, and thought i needed to point out that apart from SAG , there is a SRG too...now i see that the original poster knew what he was talking about....

Our SF have a huge stock of old US made firearms acquired through unorthodox routes. CAR-15s, Colt Commandos. Only recently, have we sourced M4A1 SOPMOD directly from the Muricans. The vagaries of int'l geopolitics..

But never saw them with such rare weapons though.Para were spotted with VZs always ,Marco with Aks.
Most probably those were in limited numbers just like Galil SARs.
Anyway people with collection of such rare pics do post.
Btw is the FNFAL 1C still in service with any units or moved to storage ?

Stowage, though every now and then, someone comes out with pics here and there. FN is always a popular name among the SF.
