Though not army related, but from yesterday evening getting high and heavy rumbling sound like we locals used to hear some 20 years( then while doing very low altitude flypass, could even see pilot helmet when they started rolling at 300 to 500 ft Hight!! ) ago near Kharagpur / Midnapur ( it is very near to Kalaikunda Airbase!!) . Felt it at least 10 times!!! is the airforce honing their bombing skills again?
Just curious..
Could be vayu shakti exercise preparations, it starts end of this week.

I can't seem to look past this Grip technique... that has to jam up his left shoulder right? after a while, this has to hurt.
It is not any grip
Usually IA jawans curl their hands in the handguard and chicken wing the other hand, more refined soldiers push their hand a little forward and don't do chicken wing
This guy was transitioning and camera clicked, or just poor posture, who knows

Having a handle grip is best way to ensure better handling .

Other than that a rubberised buttstock back to reduce the recoil impact will make sure soldiers handle the rifle properly.

Can confirm theatre-level preparation/war exercises are going on for IAF. Might be routine TBH, happens once a year to keep our skills sharp.
Its so intense today!! I guess started from 8 am today... so intense past 10 min that glasses started 'JhanJhan'
today its like 5 consecutive blast waves one by one at a time!! at least 6 times such, and did not count single ones!! points to be noted that kalaikunda is 20km give or take distance from my home!! i can remember last time such things were under practice, a river side house went kabbbbom when a bomb missed it's target killing 1 ( time during kargil war I guess) it was 2 km from my house!!
