A recent video by CNET on noiseless jets by NASA and LM Skunkwork gave a hint that SR72 is operational considering a small scale toy model placed near X57 small scale model.

They are working on PDEs? I believe the only aircraft to do that for few seconds was SR71. That is interesting indeed.

Agreed, production aircrafts do change structurally too. Take the case of J20 type-B variant that are about to roll-out. Very likely that its radar and sensor suits will be smoothed out on the surface along with its engine nozzle.

I think LM is already have a prototype for autonomous wingman. It was seen flying using F18 ... I can't recall but I've seen the video. LM is also working on there sixth gen fighter program. Leaked images have shown that it could be a tailless design, with control surface morphing when required...

ITR with a monster engine can complement the tau-max, in case of STR, basically it can swing between a very low speed fighter and a very high energy fighter. Best of both worlds This is the only jet which enjoys both better ITR and STR. F18 didn't stand a chance.

I Agree, they designed it to reach closer enough to pull the stealth jet into WVR. Its a hook-n-pull jet. It was designed this way. Its radar and sensor suit has no match, awareness about the area, was built into it heavily through it. I mean its now FOC, so they didn't put billions of there...

When the video show 4 SU-57 flying in formation, two break of nose down... umm, new tactic? Later then demonstrating flying extremely low, then stick pull to gain altitude very fast, I think faster than previous SU57s? So to sum it up, you fly at tree-level, concealed weapons in weapon bay, then...

Lets see, the PAF uses the SAAB ERIEYE, they just didn't sent it for painting our jets on its radar, it has good ECM capabilities, disrupting comms. Meanwhile there other formation of F16, Mirage and J17 (the whole strike package) engaged our jets using ATA. There goals is to allow them gain...

Correctly said, the whole point of F-22 nozzle to be shaped was compromising on thrust to achieve stealth. It was mentioned by an airforce pilot in some airshow I saw on youtube. Its a very good trade-off.

I disagree, take the incident of Balakot. Pak Airforce used electronic warfare to jam comms of even the SU30MKI. Aim120c were fired, if they were fired then the pilot of Pakf16 wouldn't be dumb enough to fire an expensive missile like that with the the MKI not falling in within its homing range...

A jet that was developed to detect stealth jets, thus SU57 detecting F35 is not a surprise, in-fact it's exactly what's expected of the jet. To understand the gravity of the covert operations in syrian airspace, it shocking on the first place that two SU57 jets were deployed right when they are...

You can believe that you are Superman. That won't change the reality. You can even tell yourself that you are batman next. Are you naive:dude:, I have a hunch, I am not saying it's cast and stone, so your point then? None I presume. ToT is the end game, yes everybody knows that, but not...

I believe that FGFA was scrapped due to western influence in defence industry, thus the western military complex was successful. What now I think, our country might be purchasing as SU57 off the shelf later. But such decisions only end up to be half baked. At this point we must accept the fate...

Members, this is an SU57 thread, please don't have your geo-political conversation over here, there's a separate thread for it. Now I request some information of the current deal for FGFA, is it dead? Or is it just pure sabotage?

Thank @gadeshi once again, I cannot fathom how the seeker would be still functional at those speeds, reaching even at mach 8 produce a plasma cloud which technically could shield ability of AESA on-board, does it uses some sort of analog feedback system that let's the missile on it path at such...

@gadeshi what can you tell me about the new hyper sonic Kenzal missile launch test. It was tested on a Mig 31 under it's belly pylons? Please also do translate what this pops is speaking at the end of the video.

I agree on most of the points, I would like to add few words here, the Russian philosophy I wrote about was back in Cold War era. At that time, missile developments like ICBMs with MIRVs, short range, long range and medium range AAMs and SAMs were emphasised more than on long range bombers or...

I disagree, any Defence system isn't useless, take the example of Yemeni's shooting down an F16 Advanced variant with a surface launched R27ER recently, that is hilarious considering that missile isn't meant to be highly maneuverable and is dedicated to destroying large aerial targets like...
