BMD is not yet operational however the implementation has started. The tender for 12 HPR ( High power radar ) is the first step in this direction .It will take 3-4 years to operationalize BMD. By that missile configurations would be finalised and serial production would be initiated.

But not all figures are known in public domain. Like we know speed of sad to be around 4.5 Mach but speed of pdv is not known. Range of aad is around 150 kms. Buy range of PDv is not known. So comparison becomes difficult as DRDO has continuously modifying and bettering the systems.

Please hold back when doing such high claims. Us has absolute capability to block missiles from 3rd world countries like Korea or Iran which have limited capabilities compared to Russian or Chinese ones.

India is concentrating on AD 1 and AD2 which is China specific bmd system stoping missiles fired from 5000 kms. Once it is done we will go for ICBM interception.
