    JF-17 Thunder / FC-1 Xiaolong

Not really. Diving attacks are easier to target than sea skimming profiles because of the higher possibility for maneuvering tactics. The Cm-400AKG may have a medium altitude profile, I don't know, but it is no sea skimmer.

KH-15 itself is a direct equivalent of the CM-400AKG, but you will find more information on KH-22/32 even if they are using a different propulsion system. The way it is used will be similar to CM-400AKG.

It is impossible for CM-400AKG to be a derivative of YJ-12. CM-400AKG is a solid fueled rocket powered engine while YJ-12 has a liquid fueled RAMJET like Brahmos. CM-400AKG follows an entirely different trajectory of climbing to a high altitude and then dropping down towards the target...

Both are correct missiles. One is developed for anti-ship role and another for land attack. The larger fin version is for anti-ship. @Dazzler Neither of these are YJ-12 versions. YJ-12 is a completely different missile following a completely different trajectory and function. The article...

@Dazzler Okay, so assembly of Block 2 has begun now. I thought it started quite some time ago.

Of course. Don't believe it. EDIT: Only Series 3 engines have been upgraded to that level. But I doubt even Series 3 would achieve 2000 hour MTBO figures. We will know eventually. Yes, but MTBO is advertised as 1200 hours.

    JF-17 Thunder / FC-1 Xiaolong

The article states that the engine was flown for 7000 hours without problems, nothing about overhaul. Anyway it isn't one engine, but many engines. JF-17 crossed 10000 combined fleet hours only recently. RD-93 does not have a 2000 hour MTBO. Even if it did, it will be more around the...

I don't know if JF-17 uses composites, Block 1 doesn't, but Block 2 does. LCA has composites for sure. 100%. Among the highest in the world. Even Boeing acknowledges that in their graph. LCA is said to have an RCS that is 3 times smaller than Mirage-2000 according to official...

Thanks for the correction. Yes, the quality of the cockpit is also determined by what information those plush screens can show.

@farhan_9909 New LCA cockpit. This is for the trainer version. In a few years, the cockpit may change again for Mk2.

I know very little French, but the statement you seem to be referring to would mean, "The dreams of a JF-17 would end if China withdraws." Or something like that.

Gripen flies better than the F-16. JF-17 does not, at least, yet.

That's how it works. We import the tools required to make the aircraft at home. Part of the industrial production clause. Yeah. $70 Million seems about right for a Super MKI. But the $2.9 Billion would include tools which probably cost over $500 Million by itself. I would say the contract for...

    JF-17 Thunder / FC-1 Xiaolong

The first article is accurate in the details except for one major problem. The second article is messed up. The first article correctly talks about 40 MKIs for $1.6Billion in 2007. The second deal for 40 aircraft + 2 is incomplete. The $4.2Billion includes the cost of 71 Mi-26 helicopters...
