Different category, different RFI. Force came into picture because Maruti said they are closing the production of gypsy. And yet Maruti got a new order for gypsy and restarted production. Crazy state of affairs.

Disappointed because it just a plain civilian vehicle painted in camo. This turned out to be just a Mahindra 550 or gypsy replacement. I was hoping for standardisation of combat equipment like improvements in gun mounts, comm. sets, higher exhaust pipe to enable water wading, higher ground...

If it indeed is force Gurkha, IA screwed up this purchase... They missed an opportunity to leap forward..

Nah, I still can’t believe that all the fuss was about this vehicle frame. Tata, Mahindra LSV we have seen so far are in line with RFI. This looks more like Mahindra 550 replacement.

Export market and LSV’s are still useful for central police forces as well. And more importantly has anyone seen force motors LSV anywhere? I don’t think even force motors website has the picture of their LSV.

what ever the vehicle IA has chosen, i don't understand the secrecy behind. Not one proper pic of the vehicle available, nor it has been showcased in any defence expos. These are the kind of things that create suspicions.

I am not saying force motors cannot build it, I am saying the pics do not match the RFI. Vehicle should look something like this.. Armoured cabin for 4 people + driver. Overhead door for machine gun. 1200 kg payload capacity.
