That's not quite right. We don't make complete engine in India. Some crucial parts are still imported from Russia. Nonetheless irrespective of that we are very much dependent on Russia for spares.

Is that source enough for you @vampyrbladez and @mist_consecutive . Again I am saying elta ones mess with the radar so bad that su30 can't use both at the same time. Also something's happen on 27 Feb with avenger 2 radar due to this . :-) .

Then why are you claiming that you don't need to integrate both of them with radars and rwr. These systems complement each other. Okay elta 8222 can work alone but then you need to switch off your radars and most probably rwr. It's of no use in A2A role where radar is required. Sap518 is...

Please go talk to someone who knows about this stuff. These pods need to integrate with rwr/radars . If they aren't then you can not use radar/rwr because they mess with it.

If I remember correctly these guys were the same people who were saying no awacs was on the air. Elta jammer don't works when bars radar is on , it's not properly integrated . Sap518 problems with rwr was solved way back. Do you know why because rwr is made by DRDO ... I repeat sap518 jammer...

Problem is people have half knowledge and many don't have sources inside military. Internet knowledge is too much dangerous especially military ones. To this day , many people even on other forums thinks ,r27 is worse than r77. That might be the case with older ones but not new ones .Picture...

At that point su30 had fire it's BVR missiles so not much effect in dogfight. Secondly I don't like that forum because of its design, it's sh*t . I will take your word for that but it will not see possible service until su30 upgrade.
