You missed the valid point, that Tejas is short range and can be used only inside Indian air space If Tejas had much better range let's say some 1000 km combat raddi, then I would agree the above scenario

The Gripen E already advertised such capability If one sees the enemy all see, I sure modern aircraft's does have such data links
