upgradation can happen anytime till the platform meets the requirements. Many aircrafts from 90s are still in production batch wise so next 20 30 years is not a problem. LCA TEJAS MK-1p can be called a upgraded version on the same platform but there is no batch production yet

Exactly that was my point.... It was appearing illogical from my point of view.....

But there was news of Tejas Mk2 being stopped. With Tejas Mk1A IAF might not be needing a Mk2 but Navy definitely needs the Mk2 version. So when we are making Mk2 then how can it be closed for any one of them IAF or IN? 120 Mk1+Mk1A are being suggested to be ordered But there are still a Gap...
