Deby-ER itself were unveiled in 2015 ..and contract was signed in 2009 !! there was no derby-ER back then( in 2009)

actually there was no target... it was similar to Astra 4th may 2014 test..

anyway, at most they will order 7-8 airframes so..it won't affect original delivery schedule

you can see missile rocket motors exhaust flames/shock diamonds clearly.... and "where missile goes" wasn't objective of this test..

Derby and Derby-ER has same integration ..LCAs are carrying Derby only..but they are compatible with Derby-ER

this test didn't involve MMR but that doesn't mean that MMR is not integrated with Derby .

They just provide passive search and track capability ...main advantage is that target receive no warning ( which is important for situational awareness and stealth* ) but Tejas-MK1A will have a AESA radar which itself have LPI so it doesn't need a IRST system but for ground target engagement...
