Problem is after missile is fired submarine location is detected and 290 is not much, anyways if India is going to select a submarine version missile then we are going for a Russian submarine, interesting :hmm:

MAKS 2009: BrahMos exports only after Indian forces fully equipped news so when can we expect an export order?

There are reports that India would launch its own navigation satellites the IRNSS which have been approved by GoI in May '06 it is intended to be completed and implemented by 2012(though God only knows). I think Indian military hardwares will be dependent on its own navigation satellites soon...

Quite natural, because in most cases I think the land version would be fired in numbers to have a devastating barrage effect and any so called 'software glitch' would result in massive losses of fire power and may result counter productive in battle field situation, hence fool proof ratification...

Now what we need is our own dedicated navigation satellite, GPSystem is undependable during war times so may be with the case of GLONASS
