I may be wrong. Are the new procurement meant to replace these rifles or just frontline troops only. What will happen to the existing AK variants, Ghatak , Trichi AR and the updated INSAS?

Are they (OFB) incapable of designing a proper rifle or is it due to cost constraints they cant deliver quality parts?
