Land costs are an important factor for feasibility of solar projects. So in Gujarat they have started a project where they install solar panels on branch canals of Narmada River (as main and small terminal canal of Narmada is not suitable for this project). Another innovation by Govt. of Gujarat.

There was not much of a difference between Sabarmati River (Gujarat) and Yamuna (Delhi) in 2007/08. But the landscape got changed by Sabarmati River front development project in 2012. Way to go Narendra Modi!!!
