Not drones, faster and stealthily tiltrotor aircraft. US is looking at bell V280 and a sikorsky helo to replace Black Hawks, Apaches, Chinooks and Ospreys. Diff variants of course. They'll partially be replaced by drones.

Because HAL chairman said that MCH/HCH would fly only in 2028. Wind tunnel tests of any model are a few years away.

HCH was just a name made up by our presstitutes when the HAL chairman said something like "we will develop a heavier class of attack helicopter like the apache." Also, they're a generation too late to be doing that. Amreeka is already going with the future vertical lift program.

That is the IMRH with rocket pods. Nothing to do with HCH. Like I said, HCH is still in conceptual design stage.

Noooo, HCH has nothing to do with IMRH. Those rocket pods were probably for a Rudra like version of MRH. Similar thing was done with Mi 8 and Mi 17 in both Sri Lanka and Kargil. Its stupid, but... who are we to question their infinite wisdom.

No. HCH will be like the medium weight version like LCH. It'll probably use the same Power plant as IMRH and thats it.

22 Apaches are going to the AF. Again, it doesn’t make sense that they would test it on hind if they don't intend to keep it. Also, AF has got only 15 hinds...

When are we retiring the hinds?
