    Cyber attacks on helicopters? Care to elaborate this theory which imho makes no sense. It's a sad day but nation moves our system has built in contingency plans. With regards to Mi 17 it is a damn good helicopter.

    Nothing it is just another excuse to lambast Russian equipment. aw 101 is no magic carpet, you fly the risk to crash is always there. The only thing that is pissing us here is the CDS was in that chopper. If it was a regular flight only a mention would have been inserted on a DFI thread

    I'm pretty sure AW 101 was only for political leadership. Irrespective defence chiefs would have flown in Mi 17. Having said that Mi17v5 was a recent acquisition and any machine is prone to human error or technical glitch. May be CDS tragedy will make security establishment quake in their boots...
