I think Pak is quite innovative with their budget. They know matching India dollar for dollar is impossible so they make good with whatever they have. Pakistani have the initiative and are able to take decision far quicker than India notorious procurement process.

I hope not, better get new turret for kestrel platform. Like what the Russians did with bumerang. But yes I agree with you the BMP 3 nightmare seems to be materialising.

Tbh with the quantity that we need and given the unit cost, such platform are too costly for us. If you see Germans they operate hundreds of them while our requirement comes into thousand. So don't expect this to come with IA.

I have a bad feeling about this picture. For a long time they are trying to sell us the BMP 3, while it is a good replacement to BMP2 and can even act as light tank, it is not something that we can use after next 10 years and will kill local products.

Expensive if you ask me. What about the use of ERA of HIFV its pretty hazardous given that such vehicle are expected to move in with infantry. Do you have any idea how the Knife era compares say to Kontact 5 on Indian T-90

An IFV with an 7-8 team squad makes sense five guys is too low if you ask me. For Urban warfare that is a situation like Battle of Grozny is it better to arm the IFV with 30mm or 12.7mm gun? Also any indication of the upgrade price Ukraine package.

These are used by Special Forces who are usually themselves on ambush mission so IED risk is minimal. There is a documentary on you tube British SAS Pathfinders on hunt of Talibans using this type of vehicle gives them more flexibility to carry ammo, food etc In fact COIN units like Rashtriya...

I just love that beast its a solution for all the T-55 in storage but then is there a scenario where we expect the Indian Army to fight in Urban setting
