Perhaps the ak 203 just works!! Many modern rifles don't qualify our criteria of performance in every kind of imaginable terrain. Ak being tried and tested platform may do good enough job in most situations. But this is my general point of view and I'm clueless about technicalities of small arms.

203 might not be any better but it's proven. It works. Everywhere Everytime. Even price wise it shouldn't cost much more than local clones once final price is settled. Export will work because of bulk production economy of scale. Which will make it very attractive for low budget armies...

The repeat order for sig is a signal to Russian to tone down the price of ak203 and start producing asap. Because if it's going to be costly india would rather buy directly from USA. Hopefully russian learn the lesson fast.

And what about sss defense . Do they have decent product with genuine design rights??

Well at least compare sig to our new trichy rifle. Looks sleek enough to me . Though I'm quite ignorant about small arms yet trichy looks modern . Can you guys compare it with sig 716 and ak203 ??
