INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Well true that it only operates the F-35 now, but being a STOBAR, under make in India it would hardly have any issues certifying the N-LCA, Mig-29K, eventually Block 3 SH or Rafale.

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Well please explain why this is an abomination? If it comes for 5 billion and make in India with Indian mods (LR-SAM, QR-SAM) MFSTAR etc, I don't see why we have to break our heads for more than a decade to come up with our own. INS Vishal won't be ready for sea trials before 2032 and induction...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

INS Vikrant will probably be followed by another one of the same class, IAC-2. INS Vishal's design is not complete, doesn't matter whether we speak of a one man army or team of hundreds of engineers. Heck we are still not clear if Vishal will have coventional or nuke propulsion, either decision...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

INS Vishal is still very much in design phase and work on it won't begin till well beyond 2022, expect 7-8 year build time and atleast a year or more of sea trials. IF IN gets on-board the AMCA train now, INS Vishal can deploy it.

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

IAF will not cancel LCA MK-2, they just choose to adapt a lenient policy towards it, they will be happy with the LCA MK-1A till LCA mk-2 arrives in 2022, LCA mk-2 is surely driven by the Navy but post 2024 LCA MK-1A won't be produced anymore and IAF will accept more deliveries of LCA MK-2...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

People need to quite whining about the AMCA and LCA, the same said douchebags would rather see an expensive import like the Rafale (the same said deal is barely hanging by the thread by the way). They need to chill the fuck out, LCA MK-1A will be ready around 2017. At the moment with the IAF not...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Rafale for IN won't happen even though the pimps in France try to push it. For INS Vikramaditya and IAC-1 INS Vikrant we will have 45 Mig-29K spread between the 2 carriers along side some N-LCA MK-1 LSPs for testing. There isn't enough room for Rafale. INS Vishal's timelines don't match the...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

INS Vishal is its own class and won't be ready for atleast another 12 years. Rafale-M being used on the INS Vishal is pretty far fetched, IN would be pretty stupid if they did. Why bother with Rafale (4.5 gen) at that point when they can easily have Naval PAKFA or the F-35 (5th gen options) on...
