    Twitter says that it is more of a BMD test than of anti sat test. Anybody care to clear ? Question is raised because of target being at 300 kilometers.

    I was just thinking that selecting a target to demonstrate technological capability could have been a sat around 900 kilometer so that we are not relying on tweets for confirmation. But may be space debris does form a significant factor when deciding on a target.

    When China tested ASAT - satellite was orbiting 861 km above earth. Is this difference significant from technology capability ,where we shot down satellite above 300 km, perspective ?
