I think the Mig 27 you're talking about crashed due to engine burnout. It was a Mig 21 providing fighter escort that went after it to try and locate the crash site against the orders of the ground controllers that fell prey to paki MANPAD.
I had said this exact same thing that FPAs for our IIR seekers/sights were being imported earlier this year and I got called a paki ******. I wonder what those people have got to say now.
It's a lot bigger and heavier missile than the QRSAM, let that sink in as well. In any case, mods do not want this debate to go on any further in this thread, so let's just agree to disagree and move on, for the time being.

And since we are comparing with Israelis, then how many missiles are there per launch vehicle in their David's Sling system?? I believe it to be 12 missiles each and their dimensions are hella bigger than...
On the flip side of that argument, having fewer missiles per launcher means they will run out more quickly as well, leaving themselves and the assets they were supposed to protect at the mercy of the opponent, ever thought of that??
